Eng. Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Business Sector, held the regular meeting with the CEOs of the Ministry’s affiliated holding companies at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, as part of the continuous follow-up of work progress and reviewing the latest developments related to project implementation in accordance with the set timelines, in the presence of a number of senior officials from the Ministry.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of field follow-ups and inspection visits to ensure the continuity of the production process and to enhance operational efficiency. He emphasized continuing to improve the working environment within the subsidiary companies as a key factor to support productivity, enhance performance efficiency, and achieve the best operating results.
The Minister reviewed the performance indicators of the subsidiary companies, which have witnessed a remarkable improvement during the recent period and significant growth in profits and revenues, in parallel with upgrading production lines, increasing the levels of local manufacturing content, and improving technical and human efficiency and quality. He highlighted that investment in human capital represents the most important pillar of the production process and a cornerstone of sustainable development, stressing the importance of optimal utilization of technical expertise and technological and industrial capabilities in each company.
The meeting also discussed the implementation status of the “ERP” Enterprise Resource Planning program, which represents a pivotal step towards improving, unifying, and automating work systems and enhancing governance in the subsidiary companies, thereby supporting professional asset management and raising transparency, operational efficiency, and competitiveness.
Eng. Mohamed Shimi also directed to continue intensifying efforts to achieve optimal utilization of resources and maximize return on assets and manage them professionally, considering this a main pillar of the Ministry’s strategy. He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with the private sector to open new horizons for growth and exchange of expertise and technology.
